Setting Up Google Calendar Integration

Step 1: Connect Your Account

  1. Open SyntriMeet Settings
  2. Navigate to Calendar & Integrations
  3. Click "Connect Google Calendar"
  4. Sign in with your Google account
  5. Grant calendar read access

Step 2: Configure Detection Rules

Choose which meetings get recorded:

All meetings - Every calendar event recorded
Video calls only Has Zoom/Meet/Teams link Only video meetings

Step 3: Set Recording Preferences

For detected meetings, configure:

  • Join timing - 0/1/2 minutes before start
  • Notification - Alert before auto-join
  • Recording mode - Cloud or local
  • Post-meeting actions - Auto-generate summary, share to Slack

Setting Up Outlook Integration

For Microsoft 365

  1. Open SyntriMeet Settings
  2. Navigate to Calendar & Integrations
  3. Click "Connect Outlook"
  4. Sign in with Microsoft account
  5. Authorize calendar access

For Exchange Server

Enterprise users with on-premise Exchange:

  1. Contact your IT administrator
  2. Request EWS access for SyntriMeet
  3. Enter Exchange server URL
  4. Authenticate with domain credentials

During the Meeting

  • Pause/resume recording
  • Add markers/bookmarks
  • Stop early if needed
  • Extend beyond calendar time

After the Meeting

Automatic post-processing:

  1. Transcription begins
  2. AI summary generated

Privacy and Control

Visibility Settings

Control who knows you're recording:

Announce to all Bot joins with visible name
Announce to host Only organizer notified
Silent recording System audio capture only

Note: Always comply with consent laws in your jurisdiction.

Excluded Meetings

Automatically exclude:

  • Personal appointments (no attendees)
  • Focus time blocks
  • Travel time
  • Specific calendar colors
  • Specific organizers

Manual Override

Any automatic setting can be overridden:

  • Force record a usually-excluded meeting
  • Skip a usually-recorded meeting
  • Change settings for single instance
  • Override applies to that occurrence only
